What is Brilliant Shine Detailing?

Brilliant Shine Detailing is a mobile auto detailing company based out of Streamwood, IL. We provide the quality of a physical car wash or detail shop combined with the convenience of having your cars detailed in your own driveway. We were founded in January of 2019 and recently made Streamwood our new home.

Where is Brilliant Shine Detailing located and what areas do you serve?

We are located in Streamwood, IL 60107 and generally serve a 10-15 mile radius. Our radius sounds small but that includes 83 zip codes (by our count) and at least 20 different towns/cities/suburbs in NW Chicagoland.

Is this your full-time job?

Yes! Brilliant Shine Detailing and it’s operator, Anthony, are not jacks-of-all-trades. Anthony does one job and one job only, car detailing. Our performance over the last 5+ years have made us one of the best and has grown the business to the point where we can focus on only one thing - providing the customer with a level of detailing and convenience that is unmatched.

What is your detailing availability? What are your hours?

Our scheduling is extremely flexible. We schedule during normal business hours, 7 days a week. That is, typically between 8am and 5pm. We know that your time is important to you and we have a stellar record of showing up at your scheduled time. We don’t charge fees for rescheduling, even if you have to reschedule the same day.

Do you bring your own water and electricity?

Yes, we do. We have a generator on board and we carry a 65 gallon water tank which is typically enough for 3-4 vehicles.

Do you use trusted products and brands on my cars?

We use some of the best products that are available on the market today. Meguiar’s is one of favorites and makes up the bulk of our arsenal. We do use some specialty products from companies such as 3M, CarPro, Mother’s, and more. Our full list of trusted brands can be found here.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit or debit (fulfilled through Quickbooks), and Venmo.

Do you offer multi-car discounts?

Honestly, it depends. Since our prices are based on time necessary to complete the detail, there are a lot of factors. If you have multiple cars that you need detailed, contact us.

What if it rains on our scheduled day/time?

We try our hardest to not schedule on forecasted rain days but sometimes it’s unavoidable. We will reschedule at your earliest convenience or will fit your car in ASAP if needed.

Can I get my car detailed during the winter?

If the daytime temperature is above freezing, yes. We extend our availability as deep into the year as we can. Once the temps regularly start going below freezing, detailing a car becomes near impossible, even if you have a garage available for us to use. Certain products we use gel or freeze at temps higher than freezing. Typically our winter months are December and January, but if it’s still warm during winter, we’ll still be out detailing.

Do I have to be present during my appointment?

You don’t need to be present for your appointment. We do recommend being present for our first appointment, however. Sometimes a detail can run a little long or end shorter than our estimate. Sometimes we can get locked out of cars if the key isn’t available. As our relationship continues, lots of our amazing customers do find the trust in us to leave us with their keys and vehicle.

What if I’m not satisfied with my detail?

99% of the time, our appointments go through as planned with zero problems. If for whatever reason you’re not satisfied with some part of the detail, we will try our best to fix whatever stain/spot/dirt/grime/streak that we’ve missed. In the worst case scenario, we do offer your money back. In 5+ years of business and thousands of vehicles detailed, we’ve never had to refund money!
